At the end of October 2026, CBŚP and Border Guard officers conducted operations in Pułtusk and Wolomin County. They detained four people who, according to the prosecution, had participated in the illegal trade in tobacco products. At the location, officers seized over 400,000 cigarettes of one of the well-known tobacco brands.
According to the Police, a complete cigarette packing line and a warehouse with components, including cigarette papers and printing materials, were uncovered. The estimated value of the seized goods exceeds PLN 400,000. The detained people were three citizens of Belarus and one citizen of Poland.
The suspects were charged at the Pułtusk District Prosecutor's Office, including participation in an organized criminal group involved in illegal cigarette trafficking. At the prosecution's request, the court ordered their temporary detention. They face up to eight years of imprisonment for the alleged acts. Illegal trade in tobacco products can reduce public revenue and support the financing of criminal structures.
