Police from the Criminal Department of the Targówek command identified and arrested two suspects in the theft of an electric scooter. The suspects are a 19-year-old woman and her 21-year-old partner, who acted together, hiding the stolen item in one of the apartments on Targówek.
Case progression
At the end of October 2026, a resident of the district reported to the police command that his electric means of transport had been stolen. The victim had left the scooter on a bicycle rack in a parking lot and estimated its value at 2,500 PLN.
Criminal police investigated the case and, thanks to the analysis of the information obtained, identified two people responsible for the theft. Both the 19-year-old woman and her 21-year-old partner had previously been convicted of similar crimes. Police arrested the couple in an apartment in the Białołęka district.
During the operation, officers recovered the stolen scooter. The couple had hidden the item in one of the residential premises on Targówek. On Friday, charges of theft were brought against both suspects. They face a penalty of up to 5 years of imprisonment for this offense.
