While investigating the theft of an electric e-scooter from Łabiszyńska Street, officers from the Criminal Unit of the Targówek Police Station in Warsaw detained a 27-year-old man. The crime took place at the end of September 2026, and the stolen device was carried out from underneath one of the residential blocks in the district. The vehicle's owner valued the loss at PLN 2,000.

The officers analyzed the circumstances of the incident and identified the perpetrator, who turned out to be a resident of the neighborhood. The man had a prior criminal record for similar offenses. After his detention, police searched his place of residence.

During the operation, the officers secured significant quantities of substances and items that could serve as evidence. A police forensic expert used a tester to identify the found drugs as marijuana and mephedrone. Additionally, nearly 500 e-cigarettes were discovered in the apartment, the origin of which has not yet been established.

Based on the collected procedural material, officers from the Investigative Unit charged the suspect with theft and possession of narcotics. Filing an additional charge regarding excise smuggling will depend on the results of the expert's examination. The entire proceeding is being conducted under the supervision of the Warsaw-Praga Północ District Prosecutor's Office.
