On Saturday, November 7, 2026, the Mazovian Institute of Culture and the Eryk Lipiński Cartoon Museum invite you to comic workshops titled “Elektra.” The event will take place from 11:00 to 16:00 at the Elektra Reading Room for Words and Sounds, located at ul. Elektoralna 12. The classes are exclusively for adults.

The main goal of the meetings is to explore an author’s graphic language and stylization in creating comics. During the workshops, participants will consider issues regarding the rules of stylization, trying to answer whether there is a strict creative protocol, or whether the freedom of interpretation allows for avoiding hiding potential technical shortcomings. The practical aspect of the event includes transforming various visual elements, such as characters, vehicles, or landscapes, which will allow participants to better understand their own creative capabilities.

The workshop is led by Marta Falkowska, an illustrator and comic artist. In her previous creative work, she has focused on editing Warchlaks, creating an adventure series for children titled “Oto Tosia,” and short comic forms. Falkowska is also a co-organizer of the Podziemne Kocury festival. As the organizers inform, the artist lives in Wrocław and has high ambitions regarding suburban life.

The cost of participation in the workshops is 50 PLN, and tickets can be purchased on the website of the Eryk Lipiński Cartoon Museum. People with special needs interested in event accessibility are asked to contact the accessibility coordinator by October 30 at the latest. Contact can be made via email (dostepnosc@mik.waw.pl) or by phone/SMS (601 669 440). The project coordinator is Joanna Baczko. The organizers of the entire undertaking are the Mazovian Institute of Culture and the Eryk Lipiński Cartoon Museum.
