On Saturday, November 7, 2026, the second edition of the nationwide preventive campaign will begin across Poland, aimed at improving road safety. Drivers will have the opportunity to get a free check and adjustment of their car headlights. The initiative involves 1,567 vehicle inspection stations, including facilities under the patronage of the Automotive Transport Institute, the Polish Chamber of Vehicle Inspection Stations, the Polish Automobile Federation Holding, as well as stations of the Dekra Polska and Speed Car networks.
The importance of functional lights in difficult conditions
The campaign is preventive in nature and is particularly important during the autumn-winter period, when it gets dark early and weather conditions deteriorate. Properly adjusted vehicle lighting allows drivers to spot obstacles on the road or pedestrians on the shoulder earlier, increasing the time available to perform a safe maneuver. Due to the need for professional diagnostics, the campaign organizes so-called “open days,” providing access to specialist equipment at no cost.
Schedule and technological assistance
The current edition is the second of four scheduled dates for this initiative. The first edition took place on October 24, and further events are scheduled for November 21 and December 5, 2026. Throughout the campaign, the Automotive Transport Institute will also provide its own inspection station, open from Monday to Friday.
Digital tools facilitate reaching diagnostic points. The Yanosik app offers a navigation feature to the nearest participating station. A full list of facilities has been published on the official Police websites and regional unit websites, as well as on dedicated websites, including yanosik.pl/dobre-swiatla and its.waw.pl. The initiative is supported by a wide information campaign, including advertising spots aired on Screen Network screens across the country.
