The Central Statistical Office (GUS) published the results of the October economic situation survey on October 26, 2026. This monthly publication presents a subjective assessment of the situation in industrial, construction, retail, and service enterprises. In the data included in the report, the directors of the surveyed companies express their views on the current state of business and forecast future economic trends.

Scope and specificity of the October data

In addition to the standard monthly results, expanded information is provided in October. According to GUS, quarterly data on manufacturing are published in this month. This is one of four months of the year (alongside January, April, and July) in which such detailed analysis is available.

Furthermore, October is one of two months of the year (alongside March) in which the report includes data on investments. These cover three sectors: manufacturing, construction, and services. As a result, the survey provides a broad cross-section of investment sentiment in key economic sectors.

Data structure

The collected information is divided into specific cross-sections, enabling the analysis of results from different perspectives. Data can be filtered by section, division, and groupings of the 2007 Polish Classification of Activities (PKD 2007). The analysis also includes enterprise size classes and a territorial breakdown by voivodeships.

The report is available for download in two formats. The PDF version is 1.81 MB, while the tables in XLSX format, packaged in a ZIP archive, amount to 6.83 MB. GUS maintains an archive of these publications dating back to 2000, allowing for the comparison of long-term business cycle trends.
