Virtual Reality at IPN: Exhibition on the Ulm Family in Warsaw
The Institute of National Memory (Instytut Pamięci Narodowej) invites visitors to Warsaw to view the exhibition "Świadectwo poMOCY," dedicated to the history of the Blessed Ulms from Markowa and the Jews whom this family sheltered during the German occupation. The project, developed by the IPN Office of New Technologies, will be available to visitors from 24 October to 21 December 2026. The event takes place at the Central Stop of History (Centralny Przystanek Historia) located at 107 Marszałkowska Street.
The exhibition has a hybrid character, combining traditional forms of historical presentation with modern digital technologies. Visitors have the opportunity to view classic exhibits, which allow for a personal understanding of the elements of the narrative. Simultaneously, the project offers an immersive experience, enabling viewers to watch the entire narrative in the form of a film study using virtual reality (VR) technology. This solution is intended to facilitate a deeper immersion into the context of the World War II era.
Admission to the exhibition is free. However, a condition for participation is prior registration, which the organizers indicate as a necessary element of the event's logistics.
