In Warsaw, a tender has been announced for the construction of a traffic signal at the intersection of Grochowska and Majdańska. The change is intended to organize traffic and increase safety, including for drivers making left turns. Offers can be submitted until November 18, and the selected contractor will have 60 days from the date of contract signing to complete the works.

Currently, to turn from the north carriageway of Grochowska into Majdańska, drivers must choose the moment for the maneuver themselves, yielding right of way to oncoming vehicles and pedestrians at the crossing. After the works, a traffic signal will be installed at the intersection, and a left-turn lane will be separated, with separate lights. Along with this change, new horizontal road markings will appear at the intersection.

This is not the only planned change in this area of Grochowska. A speed camera has been installed at the intersection with Zamieniecka, and Tramwaje Warszawskie are preparing to rebuild the street. As part of future works, a conflict-free turn into Zamieniecka towards Rondo Wiatraczna is to be created. The new turn lane will be created at the expense of the left lane on the south carriageway, which will be narrowed to two lanes near the intersection. According to the plan, drivers travelling toward Wawer from the right lane before the intersection will only be able to turn into Zamieniecka.

A downloadable version of the traffic organization plan was also provided as a PDF file, published on November 3, 2026.
