On November 12, 2026, at 7:00 PM, in the Auditorium of the Mazovian Institute of Culture (12 Elektoralna Street), the next installment of the "CST: Choreographic Self-Portrait" cycle will take place. The main highlight of the evening will be the performance "Hekate," choreographed and performed by Małgorzata Mielech. The event is organized by the Mazovian Institute of Culture and the PERFORM Art Foundation, with Magdalena Chabros serving as the curator.
The performance "Hekate" premiered on November 15, 2025, at the Wspólna Stage in Poznań. The production was realized within the framework of GoshGosh Dance Company and Jaggy Polski. The artistic action draws inspiration from the philosophical thought of Heraclitus, for whom the only constant in life is change. The character of Hekate – the Greek goddess of transitions and guardian of the unknown – appears on stage, leading the audience through the mantra of life. In this way, every gesture, step, and breath on stage becomes a trace of constant movement and transformation.
The work is described as a poetic journey into the depths of intuition, which acts as a quiet force guiding us through transitions. The performance examines the subtle relationship between intuition, instinct, and intellect, opening space for experiences that go beyond logical frameworks. Elements of dance, music, theater, and visual arts are interwoven in the artistic realization. The music for the performance was composed by Anna Suda and DJ An on Bast, while Ray Wilson took charge of musical coordination. Paweł Murlik is responsible for the lighting design, and Marzanna Gruszczyńska designed the costumes.
Małgorzata Mielech is a choreographer, performer, and dance pedagogue, also known as a teacher of the Gaga method and a movement director. In her creative work, she combines stage practice with intensive pedagogical activity, building a bridge between artistic practice and the educational process. The artist has presented her performances and led workshops in Europe, Asia, and Australia, collaborating, among others, with Ohad Naharin, Yossi Berg, and the duo of Uri Ivgi and Johan Greben. Her projects are characterized by an experimental language of movement, in which the body becomes a space for the exploration of emotions and transformation.
Tickets for the event cost 25 PLN and are available at the ticket office of the Mazovian Institute of Culture and online. The Auditorium is equipped with a hearing loop. Organizers invite attendees to a meeting with the artist after the performance. The project is co-financed by the city of Warsaw.
