The authorities of the Masovian Voivodeship have decided to provide financial support for the expansion of Kindergarten No. 110, located in the Wawer district of Warsaw. PLN 4 million has been allocated from the regional self-government's budget to implement the project. The funds come from the “Masovia for Balanced Development” program, which is used, among other things, to finance educational investments in municipalities and city districts. The planned works are scheduled to be completed by the end of December 2026.

Scope of investment and costs

The total cost of the project is estimated at over PLN 16.2 million. The majority of the funds come from the district budget, while the voivodeship's support constitutes a significant part of this financing. The main goal of the expansion is to increase the facility's capacity by building four new kindergarten groups. Additionally, the existing building on Bystrzycka Street will be adapted to comply with current technical and safety regulations. These changes aim to ensure a better comfort of education and appropriate conditions for children and staff.

Demographic context

The decision to expand the facility is driven by the dynamic development of the Falenica estate. As noted by representatives of the authorities, the number of residents in this area is steadily growing, generating increasing demand for social services, including kindergarten places. Deputy Marshal Wiesław Raboszuk pointed out that ensuring access to basic educational infrastructure for new residents is a priority. The “Masovia for Balanced Development” program is regularly used by local self-governments to implement similar investments, such as the modernization of schools and care and upbringing facilities.

Implementation timeline

According to the communication from the Marshal's Office, renovation and construction works are already underway. The expected completion date for the investment is December 2026. This means that the newly built groups and modernized spaces will be available to the youngest residents of Wawer by the end of the current calendar year.
