On Tuesday, Praga Północ police officers inspected the courtyard and stairwells of a building at 7 Brzeska Street in Warsaw. The operation was part of efforts aimed at combating drug crime. During the inspection, officers detected a distinct smell of marijuana and searched the room. Under the carpet, they found nearly 80 aluminum foil packets containing dried plant material and white and beige powder.
At the police headquarters on Jagiellońska Street, a police technician examined the seized substances. Testing showed that they were marijuana, amphetamine, heroin and mephedrone. Mephedrone made up the largest part of the seized quantity.
The Warsaw-Praga Północ District Prosecutor's Office is supervising the investigation. Police are establishing who was dealing drugs at 7 Brzeska Street. They are analyzing the activity of people appearing at this location and verifying information from residents.
