On Friday, October 29, 2026, the official opening of the new, joint headquarters of the District Court and the District Prosecutor's Office in Legionowo took place. The complex, located at 47 Jana III Sobieskiego Street, was handed over for use in the presence of the Minister of Justice, Waldemar Żurek. The ceremony was also attended by Deputy Minister Arkadiusz Myrcha and the National Prosecutor, Dariusz Korneluk.

Modern infrastructure for the judiciary

The new District Court building was designed with the aim of raising the standard of service for visitors and improving working conditions for judges and staff. The facility includes ten courtrooms, ten deliberation rooms, and ten witness rooms. Available to users are also a friendly interrogation room, a case file reading room, a Visitor Service Office, a library, and a conference room. The technical facilities include an archive of approximately 450 m² as well as rooms intended for the storage of physical evidence.

The neighboring building of the District Prosecutor's Office in Legionowo comprises three above-ground floors and one underground floor. The external space of the entire complex has also been developed, providing parking spaces for visitors and employees. Among these are designated spots for people with disabilities and parking areas intended for escort convoys.

Accessibility and scope of institutional operations

A key aspect of the new investment is ensuring the accessibility of the building for people with limitations. The complex is equipped with passenger lifts and architectural solutions that facilitate movement and the use of services for people with disabilities.

The District Court in Legionowo falls under the jurisdiction of the Warsaw-Praga District Court circuit, which also includes other district courts in the region, such as those in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, Otwock, Wołomin, and Praga in Warsaw. The District Prosecutor's Office in Legionowo, being one of six units subordinate to the Warsaw-Praga District Prosecutor's Office, operates in the municipalities of Legionowo, Jabłonna, Nieporęt, Serock, and Wieliszew. The new infrastructure is intended to contribute to the more efficient functioning of the justice system and to increase the comfort of residents using these institutions.
