On November 2, 2026, a new Municipal Waste Selective Collection Point (PSZOK) will launch in the Targówek district. The facility, located at Zabranieckiej 4 Street, will be operated by Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Oczyszczania w Warszawie Sp. z o.o. (MPSZOK). The opening of this site means that the capital's network of stationary collection points has reached six permanent locations available to residents.
Scope of Accepted Waste and Service Rules
Residents of Warsaw will be able to hand over sorted municipal waste generated in households for free at this location. The PSZOK accepts, among other things, damaged furniture, used TV/white goods, batteries, light bulbs, textile waste, green materials, and chemicals. The rules for using the facility are identical to those at the other permanent points in the city.
The PSZOK at Zabranieckiej 4 Street will be open six days a week. On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, the point accepts waste between 7:00 and 20:00, while operating hours on Saturdays are shortened to a window of 9:00–17:00. The facility is closed on public holidays and Easter Saturday.
Comprehensive PSZOK Network in the Capital
After the launch of the point in Targówek, Warsaw has six permanent PSZOK locations. The remaining five facilities are located at:
- Płytowa 1 Street (Białołęka),
- Kopijników 13 Street (Białołęka),
- Kampinowska 1 Street (Bielany),
- Zawodzie 18 Street (Mokotów),
- Tatarska 2/4 Street (Wola).
For those who cannot access a stationary point, an alternative is the mobile PSZOK (MPSZOK). Specialized vehicles service 70 different locations in the city, visiting every district. Mobile points accept waste on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays during 30-minute stops. Among the accepted fractions are electronic waste, batteries, light bulbs, textiles, and solvents. Exceptions to the mobile collection schedule are public holidays, December 31, and Easter Saturday.
