Ursynowski Cultural Centre “Alternatywy” invites you to the opening of the “Plener” exhibition on November 12, 2026. The event, dedicated to the creative works of graphic design students from Vistula University (Academy of Finance and Business Vistula), will take place at 6:00 PM at the venue located at 9 Gandhi Street in Warsaw. The exhibition opening will last for one hour, and the vernissage will provide an opportunity to meet the artists.

The exhibition features works created during drawing and painting sketching sessions (plenery) as well as in classes led by Dr. Justyna Staśkiewicz-Jonak. Some of the pieces were also created in the studios of Dr. Marek Kowalski and Dr. Bartosz Milewski. The students produced works during sketching sessions located in various parts of Warsaw, including the University Library and its gardens, the Old Town and New Town, and the Żoliborz district. The main themes were urban landscapes, architecture, greenery, and changing light, which served as inspiration for searching for a personal artistic language. The students' work also reflects an examination of the relationship between tradition and contemporaneity.

Sketches and color notes made during outdoor classes served as a starting point for creating larger compositions. The presented works were executed in a variety of drawing and painting techniques, such as oil, gouache, acrylic, and watercolor. According to the organizer, these works constitute a personal record of young artists' encounters with the capital city.

The exhibition will be open for viewing from November 5 to November 29, 2026. Admission to the event and the gallery is free.
