Police officers from Pruszcz Gdański help 19-year-old man with heart attack

On the night from Friday to Saturday, October 23–24, 2026, police officers on duty at the Pruszcz Gdański County Police Headquarters intervened in a life-threatening situation. Before 11:00 p.m., a 19-year-old man arrived at the headquarters suffering from a sudden deterioration of his health. The officers, assisted by a called medical rescue team, provided professional premedical aid, which enabled his safe transfer to a hospital facility.

According to the report, just before midnight (sources indicated before 11:00 p.m.), a frightened 19-year-old man ran into the building of the Pruszcz Gdański County Police Headquarters. The man was a driver who was transporting his friend—also a 19-year-old—in his car. The driver noticed that his passenger had suddenly felt unwell. Due to the passenger's acute discomfort, the driver decided to immediately seek help at the nearest police unit.

A policewoman on duty, after talking to the man who ran in, determined that the injured party was complaining of severe chest pain. The officer immediately called a medical rescue team. Simultaneously, she directed another officer on duty and officers from the preventive division to assist.

During a brief conversation with the injured man, the officers established crucial information: the 19-year-old has a heart condition. In connection with this, the officers began providing premedical first aid. Key actions included placing the man in a recovery position and ensuring thermal comfort. These actions were carried out until the arrival of the specialized team.

After a few minutes, medical rescuers arrived at the scene. After providing preliminary medical care, the injured man was loaded into an ambulance. The teenager was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Gdańsk, where he received further specialized medical care.
