Warsaw's theatrical scene is expanding its repertoire with new additions. The Small Stage of Teatr Polonia invites audiences to post-premiere performances of the monodrama "Reindeer" by Richard Gadd. The production, inspired by the hit Netflix series, tackles the difficult topic of stalking and the gradual takeover of the protagonist's life by the stalker.
In the lead role in the theatrical adaptation is Jędrzej Hycnar. Tomasz Gawron directed the play, while Klaudyna Rozhin prepared the Polish translation of the script. It is worth noting that Gadd's original work is based on his own experiences, where dark humor is interwoven with a personal story of trauma. According to Teatr Polonia, this authorial context gives the work unique expressive power.
