During the upcoming week, from November 2 to 6, 2026, further stages of the parallel carriageway renovation will begin on the S8 expressway in Warsaw. The works will focus on the Białołęka district, specifically targeting the direction towards Białystok. The main goal is to improve the condition of the road surface while minimizing inconvenience for drivers, which is being achieved by carrying out works exclusively during nighttime hours.

Work Schedule in the Białołęka District

According to the plan, the first nighttime closures will take place on the nights of November 2-3 and November 4-5. During these hours, the parallel carriageway between the Marywilska and Modlińska junctions will be closed to traffic. Drivers will not be able to enter this section of the road from Modlińska Street and Jagiellońska Street. In connection with the ongoing works, the public transit stops Żerań FSO 04, PKP Toruńska 04, and PKP Toruńska 02 will be suspended.

The next stage of works is scheduled for the nights of November 3-4 and November 5-6. The closure will then cover the section of the parallel carriageway located at the level of the Marywilska junction. During these hours, it will not be possible to enter the renovated lane from Wysockiego Street and Marywilska Street. The PKP Toruńska 04 stop will also be suspended.

Works on the Grota-Roweckiego Bridge

The renovations will not end with the conclusion of the first week of November. On the night of November 9-10, further works are planned on the parallel carriageway of the Grota-Roweckiego Bridge, but this time in the direction of Poznań. The section between the Modlińska and Wisłostrada junctions will be closed, along with the entrances from Modlińska Street and Jagiellońska Street. Between 20:00 and 5:00, traffic on this section will be directed exclusively via the main thoroughfares. The works include milling the old surface, laying a new one, and executing road markings.

The organization of works during nighttime hours aims to minimize traffic disruptions. As road authorities inform, adherence to the planned schedule largely depends on prevailing weather conditions. Further stages of the renovation will cover the remaining section of the route between the Powązkowska and Łabiszyńska junctions.
