Sinfonia Varsovia has presented a detailed concert schedule for the period from November to December 2026. The events will take place in the orchestra's renovated headquarters located at 272 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. The planned program combines the tradition of classical music with innovative initiatives aimed at various audiences.

Chamber Concerts and Recitals

The season will begin on November 7 with an inaugural concert of the chamber cycle. Pianist Łukasz Chrzęszczyk will perform on the stage of the Music Pavilion together with the orchestra's musicians under the direction of concertmaster Jakub Haufa. The program will include, among other works, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy’s D minor Concerto for piano, violin, and strings, as well as works by Krzysztof Penderecki and Béla Bartók.

Two days later, on November 12, the audience will hear the Paganini Ensemble Vienna. This is one of the few ensembles in the world dedicated exclusively to the works of Niccolò Paganini. The next prominent point of the month will be a recital by the young pianist Martina Meoli, which will take place on November 20. The fourteen-year-old artist will present works by Fryderyk Chopin and Franz Liszt.

In December, the chamber cycle will be extended with performances by the Sinfonia Varsovia Wind Quintet (November 26) and the Sinfonia Varsovia String Quintet (December 10). The climax of the month is expected to be the concert on December 12, during which the orchestra, in its chamber ensemble format under the baton of Julian Gilewski, will perform a program combining the sounds of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Soloists will then include pianist Wojciech Pyrć and clarinetist Matsvey Mitskavets.

Pinchas Zukerman’s Residency

An important element of this year's season is the launch of a new artistic residency program, fronted by Pinchas Zukerman. The outstanding violinist and conductor will collaborate with the orchestra both at its Warsaw headquarters and on other concert stages.

In November, a series of concerts featuring Zukerman and the Sinfonia Varsovia String Ensemble is planned. On Saturday, November 21, and Tuesday, November 24, the artists will perform at the Music Pavilion, presenting works by, among others, Bach, Telemann, Hindemith, Mendelssohn, and Kreisler. The main event of this residency chapter is scheduled for Sunday, November 22, at the National Philharmonic. The program will include Mozart's Overture to The Magic Flute, Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1 in G minor, and Dvořák's Symphony No. 8. The following day, on November 23, the same artistic lineup will perform in Katowice.

The New 'Adventure' Format

Sinfonia Varsovia is also developing a new artistic format called 'Adventure'. This is intended to be a cycle of events breaking down genre barriers, combining music with other forms of contemporary expression. Its premiere will take place on November 15 during a concert of the MY I JA project, created by Dorota Masłowska and Wacław Zimpel. The stage will feature material from the album Threny in an extended arrangement, with the participation of a string nonet from Sinfonia Varsovia, vocalist Malina Masłowska, and drummer Jerzy Rogiewicz.

A further step in the framework of musical experiments will be the concert on December 1, featuring the Chain Ensemble under the direction of Andrzej Bauer. The program, titled 'Chain-reaction', will focus on the relationship between music and other art fields. During the event, the world premiere of the work viridian, motion, hesitate by Andrzej Karałów is planned, along with the performance of a composition by Steven Stucky inspired by painting.

Educational Initiatives

The orchestra places great emphasis on music education, organizing workshops and concerts aimed at children and their parents. The program includes, among others, Smykofonie, designed for toddlers aged 0 to 5 and their caregivers. Older children aged 3 to 8 are invited to concerts featuring the dragon Bazylik. Participants have the opportunity to learn to play percussion and wind instruments, learn the secrets of creating audiobooks, and participate in live music sessions. All information about events and tickets is available on the official Sinfonia Varsovia website.
