On October 26, 2026, a press briefing was held at the Delegatura of the Marshal's Office of the Mazovian Voivodeship in Radom, during which the educational and preventive campaign titled “TO NIE JA...” was officially announced. The project is jointly implemented by the Road Traffic Division of the Provincial Police Headquarters located in Radom and the Mazovian Provincial Roads Administration in Warsaw. The main objective of the action is to reach out to youth from upper-secondary schools, a group of people who have recently or will soon begin their driving journey. It is at this stage that first driving habits and attitudes are formed, which is why the organizers want to influence young people's awareness before they acquire permanent, potentially dangerous behaviors.
During the meeting, a video spot specially prepared for the campaign was premiered. The film material aims to encourage viewers to reflect on their own choices and their consequences, rather than to instill fear. The film emphasizes that it often only takes one wrong decision for many people's lives to change dramatically. The campaign slogan “TO NIE JA...” is meant to break through typical defense mechanisms, such as the conviction that tragic events always happen to someone else (e.g., “I’m not the one who will speed,” “I’m not the one who will use my phone”). The organizers note that on the road, every traffic participant shares responsibility for the safety of themselves and their surroundings.
The briefing was opened by Deputy Commander of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Radom, Inspector Jerzy Sztuc, who presented the project's idea. The meeting was also attended by Dariusz Piątek, Director of the Provincial Road Traffic Center in Radom, who spoke on behalf of the Voivodeship Marshal, and Grzegorz Obłękowski, Director of the Mazovian Provincial Roads Administration in Warsaw, who spoke about the importance of inter-institutional cooperation. Also present were Chief Inspector Mirosław Kusztal, Head of the Road Traffic Division of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Radom, representatives of the Radom Detention Center, and Sylwia Wiśniewska, President of the “Środowisko Inicjatywa” Association and an attorney.
An important element of the event was the presentation of commemorative acknowledgments to those who agreed to take on roles in the video spot. The organizers appreciated their private time and commitment to creating material designed to have a long-term impact on young audiences.
The official inauguration of the “TO NIE JA...” campaign is scheduled for November 3, 2026. The event will take place at the Music School Complex in Radom. During the meeting, youth will hear true stories of people whose lives were changed by road accidents. The discussion of the consequences of such incidents will cover legal, medical, and psychological perspectives, aiming to make participants aware of the full dimension of responsibility for decisions made behind the wheel. The campaign has been granted the Honorary Patronage of the Marshal of the Mazovian Voivodeship.
