In Warsaw, at the headquarters of the Grand Theatre – National Opera, a unique nationwide agreement on regular and long-term cooperation with Polskie Telewizje (TVP) was signed. The event brought together key figures from both institutions, including Tomasz Sygult, the CEO of TVP, and Boris Kudlicka, the director of the Grand Theatre. The aim of the initiative is to make outstanding operatic and ballet works from the national stage accessible to a wider audience, continuing the successful Jubilee Gala project.

Artistic Scope of Cooperation

The program implemented under this agreement covers selected, highly regarded works from the Grand Theatre’s repertoire. According to available information, TV audiences will be able to watch, among others, “The Best City in the World” – an opera about Warsaw by Cezary Duchnowski, “Peter Grimes” with music by Benjamin Britten, and the ballet “Dracula” featuring music by Wojciech Kilar and choreography by Krzysztof Pastor. These productions have the chance to reach viewers throughout Poland, extending beyond the traditional boundaries of theatrical halls.
