Warsaw Tourist Lines have published a summary of the current season. According to the Warsaw Transport Centre (ZTM), a total of over 112,000 passengers used WLT services. Interest in the transport offering, which includes historic trams, vintage buses, and watercraft, remained at a high level despite unfavorable weather conditions.

Popularity of Land Routes

The most popular routes were the regular tourist lines. Bus line 100 carried over 31,000 people, making it one of the pillars of this year's offer. The next most popular route was tram line T, which was used by over 15,000 passengers. In many cases, the vehicles left the depot and returned completely filled to the last seat, indicating high demand for this type of ride.

Tram line 36 held a unique position during the season. It was the only route within the WLT that ran daily during the holiday period, ensuring constant access to historic transport in this key period for tourism.

Results of Cruises and Excursions

The long-distance and cruise offering also attracted a large number of customers. Over 5,000 people sailed on the Zefir boat to Serock. Excursions on the Piaseczno Narrow Gauge Railway were also popular, serving over 3,200 passengers.

The sightseeing boat Kopernik recorded a significantly lower result. Due to difficult conditions on the river, the vessel could only operate for a few days. During this short period, 784 people used its deck.

Impact of Low Vistula Water Levels

The 2026 season was full of challenges related to the river's hydrological status. The low water level in the Vistula, which persisted for many weeks, had a direct impact on the schedules of inner-city navigation. From the end of July 2026, it was necessary to suspend the operation of all three river ferries.

Despite the early termination of the cruises, the aforementioned ferries achieved high passenger numbers. They carried a total of over 56,000 passengers. These figures indicate that despite time restrictions, crossings of the Vistula remained one of the most attractive summer proposals in Warsaw.

The season summary was published on October 6, 2026. The organizers announced their intention to continue operations in the following year, counting on a return to the full scope of the offer in 2027.
